/səˈvaɪvər/

This practice-based workshop for students of the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague (UMPRUM) explores themes of personal courage, playfulness, radical artistic expression, boundary-pushing, and the use of extremity as a dramaturgical tool. Through a series of physical and imaginative exercises, participants investigate strategies of survival and adaptation while reflecting on how discomfort, uncertainty, and stepping beyond one's comfort zone can become catalysts for artistic creation.
The workshop introduces the fundamentals of actor and performer training, from the emergence of a psychophysical impulse to the development, articulation, and repetition of performative action. The practical sessions focus on cultivating energy, attention, embodied awareness, inner concentration, and the conscious presence of the body in space.
Alongside practical work, the programme includes group discussions, critical reflection, and screenings of a curated selection of audiovisual references. The workshop offers insight into the creative methods of the D’epog collective, drawing on principles of spatial dramaturgy, performance art, and a practice rooted in autonomous artistic authorship.
