Gob Squad
An international collective of artists active since 1994 based primarily in Berlin. Gob Squad emerged from two major theatre academies — the Institute of Applied Theatre Studies in Giessen and Nottingham Trent University. Blending performance, visual art, video, and multimedia technology, their original and provocative works have earned acclaim worldwide.
The D’epog's workshop with members of Gob Squad took the form of an intensive creative exchange exploring memory, heritage, the preservation of recollection, and the interpretation of history. The session culminated in a presentation of Gob Squad’s performative lecture We Are Gob Squad And So Are You, presented in collaboration with Terén, HaDivadlo, and the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts in Brno.
