Action Scene with a Stunt Double
"Necessity is the mother of invention."
Action Scene with a Stunt Double is a three-part performance cycle by the D´epog collective, inspired by the culture of extreme sports, high-risk challenges and daredevilism. The project unfolds through a series of intensive artistic residencies, each culminating in a public work-in-progress performance.
The cycle is united by the motto "Stuntman Down!", reflecting a fascination with risk as a way of testing personal limits. Through staged crisis scenarios, the performances explore how we respond to pressure, uncertainty and extreme situations. They examine our ability to improvise, stay resilient and keep moving forward when familiar solutions no longer work.
The project focuses on human behaviour in moments of crisis, highlighting collaboration, resourcefulness and the delicate balance between courage and caution.
